Humanly, a leader in AI-powered hiring automation, has recently acquired recruitment marketing company CareerArc, marking its fifth acquisition since 2025. This strategic move combines Humanly’s established AI-driven chat, candidate screening, and interview automation tools with CareerArc’s innovative social recruiting software and interactive career-site mapping capabilities.

Founded in 2018 and based in Bellevue, Washington, Humanly has steadily expanded its product suite and customer base, which includes notable clients such as Microsoft, Domino’s, and MGM Resorts. CareerArc, established in 2009 and located in Burbank, California, brings a complementary focus on recruitment marketing that enhances Humanly’s end-to-end hiring solutions.

The integration consolidates multiple AI hiring technologies under one platform, aiming to address the growing complexity in recruitment workflows, particularly for employers facing high volumes of applications. Such volume challenges are increasingly amplified by candidates using generative AI tools to apply for jobs, as revealed in recent market surveys.

This acquisition also places Humanly’s offerings within the scope of the European Union’s AI Act, which classifies AI systems used in recruitment and selection as high-risk from December 2027. This regulatory framework emphasizes transparency and ethical use of AI in screening and evaluating candidates. Notably, the Act’s transparency requirements, effective since August 2026, already apply to candidate-facing AI systems like Humanly’s chatbots.

Despite broad adoption challenges in Europe, where a significant portion of employers and candidates remain cautious about AI in hiring, Humanly’s expansion reflects the increasing demand for integrated, scalable AI recruitment solutions that can comply with emerging regulations.

While the financial details of the CareerArc deal remain undisclosed, the move underscores Humanly’s commitment to consolidating AI hiring technologies and preparing for a future shaped by evolving legal standards and recruitment dynamics.

As AI continues to redefine recruitment processes globally, Humanly’s acquisition of CareerArc exemplifies how companies are gearing up to offer comprehensive, compliant, and efficient hiring automation platforms that meet the demands of modern employers and candidates alike.
